Should Your Wedding Dance Song be the recorded Original Artist or cover by a Live Band?

Your Wedding Dance Song should be the recorded original artist unless a pre-recorded demo by the live band is provided to you.

Live music can be amazing at any occasion. However, in the world of dance there’s an expression, “Music is King (or Queen)”! You’ll be learning your wedding dance routine to a particular version of your song, often being the original artist. This song version is the exact format you’re used to. If there’s a sudden change of format on the night of your wedding dance, this could be very disasterous!

If you’re heartfelt for a live band version, ensure the band has provided their pre-recording of that song to you / your dance instructor. It’s to this pre-recorded version then your dance routine can be arranged. Plus, it’s this exact version the live band must play on your special night.

So … Perhaps play it safe and use a recording of the original artist (or at least attain a pre-recording of the song from your amazing live band)! Your Wedding Dance Song be Performed Live or Pre-Recorded?
